It’s an incredibly busy week for Switch with the release of titles like Fall Guys, Roller Champions, and Sonic Origins. Along with all these games, we also have our own title Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
This is another spectacular Musou game from the Omega Force team where you (the player) take control of the new character Shez, as they prepare to take on the Three Houses protagonist Byleth. From here, you join forces with Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude and are invited to embark on a whole new adventure.
In our own review, we noted how the game has improved in a number of ways over its 2017 predecessor, also featuring solid performance and an action-packed campaign, awarding it nine out of ten stars.
And here’s a rundown of what other outlets have said about the game so far. GamesRadar+ (mostly) loved it, giving it 3.5 out of 5:
“Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes puts together a great hybrid battle system while barely slowing down for their beloved characters.”
Vooks.net praised the game for its perfect fusion of gameplay and strategy, giving it 4.5 out of 5:
“Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes may be the best Warriors game to date. It’s an absolutely flawless fusion of fast-paced hack-and-slash gameplay with methodical and considered strategies, with a returning cast as vibrant as ever. With As large a cast as it is, it’s not surprising that many characters feel similar in combat, but it’s easy to overlook how fantastic every other aspect is.”
Nintendo Insider gave the game 9 out of 10, noting that it was an “exceptional standout” among the many Warriors games on Switch:
“Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes unabashedly leaps into battle, delivering tactical brilliance and heroic thrills in equal measure. This is an exceptional standout among the many Warriors games on Nintendo Switch, and perhaps the best to grace the handheld home console to date.” Moment.Point: Loaded with armies to slaughter, gripping storytelling, and more than enough content to keep you busy for months, whether at home or on the go.”
Comicbook.com said it was “closer to perfection than it has any right to be”, rating it 4.5 out of 5:
“Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has enough of the franchise’s DNA to satisfy. And, somehow, traversing a battlefield while activating abilities like Assassinate or Nosferatu feels more in keeping with Fodlan’s chaotic war-torn battlefields than what’s come before it.”
And Destructroid was also impressed with the latest Warriors entry, giving it a score of 9 out of 10:
“While the core Warriors The game probably won’t fully convince people who have already tried to get into it, those of you. who enjoys it must have a lot of fun with three hopes.”
